We stayed in Jasmine and Ambre rooms for three days (26 - 29 dec, 2012) during our first trip to Marrakech. The rooms are very well decorated and were very clean (they clean the rooms every morning). The riad also has nice decorated patio and cool terrace. Nathalie and Gerard were very friendly and nice. They gave us the most valuable tip: the Toubkal restaurant, a nice and cheap restaurant (was there three days in a row)The riad was pretty close to Jamaa el Fna (less then 10 mnts walking). However, might be a bit difficult to find the riad for the first time during the night. But they do have noticeable sign to direct you to the door.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there, and would love to recommend this riad to everyone who wants to visit Marrakech. This riad really offer a good value!

Booked 2 nights at this charming Riad tucked deep inside a maze of hidden alleyways in old Marrakesh. A word of warning!! This Riad is extremely hard to find. My advice is that when you arrive at the airport, purchase a sim card for your phone where you can get data and minutes. Having data will enable you to use GPS or maps where you can know where you are at all times.Once we finally found the Riad, we were very happy with our stay. Our hosts were so friendly and professional and laid on a lovely and varied breakfast each morning. Our twin room was traditional and beautiful and the free wi-fi was reliable. We were given a detailed tourist map which was invaluable. Once we got our bearings, we actually realised that the location was very good, only minutes from the main square.Would stay here again!!Take my advice, buy a data sim card for your phone, or you'll spend alot of your time in Marrakesh lost and walking aimlessly.

Staying at the Riad Souad was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend it to anybody who wants a proper Moroccan experience. Below is a breakdown of our experience.Inside the RiadBeautifully decorated in a sort of ostentatious but traditional Moroccan fashion (i.e. lots of Maroccan lanterns, tables, glasses, etc.). The room that we were in was nice and big, with an en suite shower room (nice big shower too). Crucially, as it was over 40 degrees centigrade, there was individually controllable air conditioning in the room! There was a dipping pool (not huge, but big enough for about 6 people to chill out I guess) on the roof, with a lovely roof terrace to relax - day or night. We had dinner there on one evening, and the food and drink was good and reasonably priced.The hostsThe hosts, Natalie and Gerrard, are delightful and very welcoming indeed. Gerrard, upon our arrival, gave us a map with a number of recommendations noted on it - we visited many and were disappointed by none. Throughout the week, we also had a number of restaurants and attractions recommended to us, all of which were perfect! Similarly, they organised a trip to the Atlas mountains for us, including lunch in a traditional Berber village, which was spot on and is definitely recommended!!LocationThe Riad is located in the centre of the Medina (old town), about a 10-minute walk from the main square, the Jamaa el Fna. It's outside of the market area, which is good because you're hassled less than when you're right in the centre, but it makes it ever so slightly harder to navigate yourself. However, the hosts are brilliant and Gerrard showed us the right route on the first day, to make sure that we didn't get lost. At night, a number of streets get closed off, so we would always suggest going back to the main square and walking from there, even if it seems to take you out of your way a bit. The locals are generally nice and will give you directions, but they will charge you rather a lot of money for the privilege. Again, the hosts will explain when you're there.

Just got back from the Riad Souad and we were very happy with our choice, although we did read the reviews before pressing the book now button and we were definitely not disappointed. The hosts Gerard and Natalie were very friendly and very helpful, booking venues for us as we were only there for 4 nights. We asked for a hammam and we were booked into Le Bain Bleu, excellent choice and just what we needed. Not the cheapest but worth every penny. We asked for a top restaurant with entertainment and they booked Comptoir Darna, very swanky with great food and atmosphere. The room itself was lovely so Moroccan, and what a peaceful nights sleep we had. We must mention the breakfasts, different each morning and very tasty. My partner particularly enjoyed the home made yogarts, yum yum! The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the hustle and bustle of the square, perfectly located.A few tips for those who have never visited Marrakesh before:-1. Arriving at the airport you will need to complete an immigration form, pick up an extra one as you will need to fill it in again on your departure.2. The passport control queue takes at least an hour so be prepared.3. Departing, whether you have checked in luggage or not you still have to stand in the queue and get your boarding tickets stamped, we only had hand luggage and we had printed off our boarding tickets but they still had to be stamped. Don't know what happened to those with the bar code on their mobile phones.4. Finally Gerard and Natalie will advise you on all your needs just ask they are great.

I stayed 4 nights in May 2016 with 2 friends. Riad Souad has a perfect location in the medina of Marrakech, very close to Jama El Fna place and a lot of shops which are opened day and night. The area of this Riad is very safe (compared to another Riad where friends were staying), so we could walk by night to come back for sleeping. Moreover the way is very easy to remember. I recommend the breakfast in the Riad, which is delicious and copious. The rooftop and the terrace of the Riad have a beautiful view on Medina and Mountains. Our host Nathalie and Gerard were welcoming, thoughtful and gave us a lot of advices concerning the places to visit (Bahia, Badii palaces, Majorelle Garden, etc). We strongly recommend Riad Souad for your stay in Marrakech.
